最近、脱出ゲームアプリMemoryをリリースしたのですが、
不具合修正の為にアップデート申請を行ったところ、
「Guideline 5.2.1 - Legal - Intellectual Property」のリジェクトを受けました。
対策を行った結果、無事アップデート審査が通ったので今後の為にメモとして残しておきたいと思います。

Appleからのリジェクト内容はこんな感じでした。
Guideline 5.2.1 - Legal - Intellectual Property
Your app contains content that may infringe upon rights owned by Ravensburger Digital GmbH. Ravensburger objects to apps available in Germany that use the mark, Memory, in the app name, subtitle, icon, screenshots, or previews.
Your app and its contents should not infringe upon the rights of another party. In the event your app infringes another party’s rights, you are responsible for any liability to Apple because of a claim.
Next Steps
To resolve this issue, please attach documentary evidence in the App Review Information section in App Store Connect. In accordance with section 3.2(f) of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, you acknowledge that submitting falsified or fraudulent documentation can result in the termination of your Apple Developer Program account and the removal of your apps from the App Store. Once Legal has reviewed your documentation and confirms its validity, we will proceed with the review of your app.
Alternatively, please make necessary changes to your app so that it does not infringe upon the rights of Ravensburger Digital GmbH:
- Remove the third-party mark from your app name, subtitle, app icon, screenshots, and previews.
or
- Remove your app from the territories where Memory is a protected mark.
Since your App Store Connect status is Metadata Rejected, we do NOT require a new binary. To revise the metadata, visit App Store Connect to select your app and revise the desired metadata values. Once you’ve completed all changes, reply to this message in Resolution Center and we will continue the review.
今まで受けたことがないリジェクトだったのですが、内容を見る限り、
Ravensburger Digital GmbH.というドイツの会社の権利を侵害している可能性があるとのこと。
MEMORYは全て１から作ったアプリなので、なぜ権利を侵害している可能性があるのかわからなかったので、ネットで調べてみることにしました。
まず、Ravensburger Digital GmbH.というドイツの会社はアプリ開発会社っぽいです。
なのでとりあえず、アプリの配信国からドイツを除外して再申請をかけてみました。
ですが、再申請直後に秒でリジェクトを返されてしまいました....
（In Reviewになったと思ったら、速攻でリジェクトされた...）
そこで、とりあえずRavensburger Digital GmbH.社がどんな権利を持っているのか？について調べようとしていたところ、以下の記事を見つけました。
こちらの質問者が僕と全く同じ状況になっていたおかげで救われました。
こちらの記事によると、タイトルに「Memory」が含まれていることがRavensburger Digital GmbH.社の権利を侵害しているということらしいです。
そんなばかな....まあ、しょうがないですね...
ということで、上記の記事を参考に一通り対象となる国を配信国から除外して再申請をかけたところ、無事審査が通りました。
タイトルに含まれるだけでも権利侵害になるとは...
いい勉強になりました。
